Story, Energy and Daily Play
Spend your Energy on Stories, send characters on Adventures and clear your Daily Missions. Use the daily checklist below, then look up the modes, rewards and menus you need.
On this page
Each day
- Spend your Energy. It refills one point every 20 minutes and stops at your maximum, so Energy you don’t spend is wasted. Play the Main Story first: it’s where most of a new player’s Chrono Crystals come from. Then play the Event Stories you need.
- Play the three “Let’s Fight!!” battles. Each can be cleared once a day with one character, and it counts as cleared whether you win or lose. Beating Goku gives that character 1 million EXP, and all three give lots of Friendship Points, plus Skip Tickets and Training Items. See Events you can play anytime.
- Send characters on Adventures. Use your Job Requests before they expire, and fill every Adventure Slot.
- Clear your Daily Missions. Their rewards give you Stamps for the Daily Stamp Rally. Once you’ve completed every Daily Mission, open the Home, Story, Event, Adventure or PvP screen to claim the rewards automatically.
- Check the Gift Box. Anything that didn’t fit in your inventory waits there, and items with an expiry date are lost once it passes.
- Pull from the Card Machine when your Card Collection Coins have refilled, so they don’t go past the limit.
Work through the Recommended Content list. The game recommends it for new and experienced players alike.
New to battles? Start with the Beginner’s Guide to the Screens. For your first party, see Your first party, and for characters you can earn without summoning, Free characters.
Each weekend
LEGENDS WEEKEND runs every week from Saturday 06:00 to Tuesday 06:00 UTC. Log in on all three days:
- Weekend stages appear for those three days, and you can play one stage from each once a day. Losing doesn’t use up the attempt, but gives no rewards.
- WEEKEND Arts Boost Battle: pick one of six stages for Arts Cores (grades 1 to 29) or Arts Seeds of one colour.
- WEEKEND SPECIAL CHOICE: pick one of three stages for Soul Exchange Medals, Fragment Exchange Medals or Zeni. Every stage also drops Weekend Job Requests and Weekend Medals.
- Weekend Job Requests send characters on Adventures that always bring back some Chrono Crystals.
- Weekend Medals go to the Exchange Shop.
- Extra Souls drop all weekend, which makes it the best time to farm them.
- Clearing your Daily Missions each weekend also earns Multi-Z Power for LEGENDS LIMITED characters.
- A LEGENDS WEEKEND Summon can be used once a day, with SPARKING at 50% and a SPARKING Medal with every pull.
Once you’ve done the stage’s Challenges, you can clear a weekend stage with Skip Tickets.
Your Mission Plan also runs in 14-day blocks. See Missions and Z Level.
Energy and the EN Tank
Every Story costs Energy. It comes back at one point every 20 minutes, up to your maximum.
You can also restore 10 Energy for 2 Chrono Crystals, up to 50 times a day. Each restore gives you some Skip Tickets too. Energy above your maximum goes into the EN Tank, which holds up to 9,999. Raising your Z Level also adds Energy to the tank. When you don’t have enough Energy for a Story, the game uses your tank’s Energy instead.
While you’re holding more Energy than your maximum, you can’t restore more with Chrono Crystals.
Stories
Main Story
Play through the game’s story to earn character EXP, items and Friendship Points for the characters you use. You can rewatch the cutscenes of any Main Story you’ve cleared from the Story Archive, at no Energy cost.
The Progress Gauge shows how many Chrono Crystals are left to earn from the Main Story. It counts first-clear chapter rewards and the Missions for clearing chapters and Parts. Challenge rewards aren’t counted, and filling the gauge gives nothing extra.
Event Stories
Check the Event screen for these types of Event Stories:
| Kind | What you get |
|---|---|
| Stories from the Original Series | Stories that follow the Dragon Ball storyline. Battles can drop equipment. |
| Scout Battles | Z Power for characters. Which characters changes from time to time. |
| Bonus Battles | Souls, EXP and Zeni. Battles can drop Job Requests. |
| Rising Battles | Enemies that get stronger each time you beat them. Some have Deploy Conditions. |
| Ultra Space-Time Rush | Battles over several floors, with no Energy cost. See below. |
Other events fall under Sub-Events.
Events you can play anytime
Some Events never end. They’re the steady way to build up your characters:
| Event | What it’s for |
|---|---|
| Let’s Fight!! | Three daily battles for EXP and Friendship Points. |
| Let’s go, Legends! | Built for beginners: Missions that give you whole parties. See Your first party. |
| Long Ago…There Was a Small Encounter | Event-exclusive characters at SPARKING rarity. |
| Joined Forces! A Life-or-Death Struggle! | A story written only for Legends, with rewards. |
| Raditz Attacks!, Nappa the Cruel!, Fierce Battle! Vegeta the Prince of Fate, The Dreaded Ginyu Force, The Advent of Frieza, the Universal Emperor! | The original series’ story, with rewards such as Z Power. |
| Eliminate the Earthlings, Prevent World Domination!, Superheroes of Justice Have Arrived!!, Expected Trials!, Project Zero Mortals, Majin Buu’s Revival, Perilous Clash!! Namek, Let’s Head Out on a Mystical Adventure!, The Films Strike Back, A New Adventure! A New Battle!, Marauding Monster | Challenges for specific characters, with rewards such as Chrono Crystals. |
Difficulty, Challenges and unlocking
Stories come in four difficulties: Normal, Hard, Scream and Despair. Higher ones have stronger enemies and better rewards. Some Stories stay locked until you meet a condition shown on them.
Each Story has battle Challenges. Each one gives a reward the first time you complete it, and completing all of them gives one more.
Skip Tickets
A Skip Ticket clears a Story stage without playing the battle, once you’ve completed all of that stage’s Challenges. You get them by restoring Energy with Chrono Crystals, or by buying Skipper, the Skip Ticket Printing Robot.
A skipped battle gives no Friendship Points and doesn’t count as a win for Missions that need wins.
Ultra Space-Time Rush
You take a set of characters through battles on several floors. It costs no Energy, plays no story, and you can try it as many times as you like while it’s open.
- A character you’ve used once can’t be used again in that run, and the same goes for equipment.
- Defeat all the enemy’s battle members to move up a floor. If you don’t, it’s a loss, but the enemies’ health carries over to your next attempt at that battle.
- If your last character and the enemy’s last character both drop to 0 health at once, from a Self-Destruct or a ranged attack, it counts as your win.
- Some floors only let you use characters with certain names or Tags.
Clearing floors and completing Trials earns points. When your total passes a target, you get that Point Reward. Battles here give no EXP, Zeni or items.
Beating every floor of a Rush unlocks the next Rush, and unlocked Rushes stay unlocked in every later Ultra Space-Time Rush. Re-attempt resets a Rush back to floor 1, which is how you go back for Point Rewards you missed. Your best points and the rewards you’ve already claimed stay.
God Challenge
God Challenge pits you against enemies modelled on top Godly Class players. It unlocks after Main Story 5-5-7 on Normal.
Before you start, you pick 30 characters, and they’re the only ones you can use for the whole challenge. For each fight you form a party of 6 from them. A wave is 5 battles and a final Boss, and clearing it takes you to the next wave. The enemies fight the way top Godly Class players do, so their style can change each time the challenge comes back.
Clearing certain battles and waves earns God Challenge Coins, and sometimes a God Challenge Trophy. Spend them in God Challenge’s own Exchange Shop.
After you win a battle, the characters you used go on cooldown and can’t be picked again until you clear the wave. From Battle 2 on, you can reset the wave: every cooldown ends and you start again at Battle 1. Use this when the character you need for a battle is on cooldown.
If you lose, you can continue by spending Chrono Crystals. The enemies stay as they were when you lost, your party goes back to how it was at the start of that battle, and the timer starts over.
Adventures
Send characters away for a set time to bring back items. Each Adventure uses a Job Request. Use your requests before they expire. Harder Job Requests give better rewards: Boost Souls, Training Items and Zeni.
- You start with 3 Adventure Slots and can unlock up to 7 with Adventure Slot Keys or Adventure Slot Keys Z.
- Characters of certain Elements suit certain jobs better, which raises your chance of a better result.
- An Adventure ends as a Regular, Great or Huge success, and better results give more items.
- Rocket Boosters let you finish an Adventure at once with Haste. Haste has a daily limit.
- Stopping an Adventure early gives nothing back, and the Job Request is still used up.
- When an Adventure ends you can reattempt it with the same Job Request and the same characters. The Job Request closest to expiring is used first.
The Training Items you bring back give your characters EXP when you use them in Training.
Missions and Z Level
Missions are tasks you complete by playing, and each gives items or Mission Points. Enough Mission Points raise your Z Level, which gives more rewards and adds Energy to your EN Tank. Some Missions only unlock after you clear others.
Items from the Exchange Shop don’t count for Missions about getting items, and neither do items sitting in the Gift Box until you collect them.
Mission Plans open once you’ve completed “Go For It! Intermediate Missions”. Each one lasts 14 days, and if you go to the Home screen without picking a plan, the Free Plan starts on its own. Premium Plans can be added on top for extra rewards. Clearing a plan’s Missions earns Plan Points, which raise your Plan Level, and your rewards depend on that level. When the period ends, your progress, Plan Level and Premium Plan unlock all reset.
The Daily Stamp Rally adds one Stamp a day, from your Daily Mission rewards. When a Stamp lands on a reward space you get that reward, and a full sheet starts a new one the next day.
Chrono Crystals, summons and shops
Chrono Crystals are the game’s main currency. You spend them on Summons, Energy and the Chrono Crystal Shop, and you can buy them in the Shop.
Summons give Z Power or Awakening Z Power. Enough Z Power gets you a character or Limit Breaks one, and enough Awakening Z Power Zenkai Awakens a character at ★7 or higher. Both happen on their own.
The Exchange Shop trades Medals and Exchange Items, such as Rare Medals, for other items. It won’t trade for Chrono Crystals while you hold more than 20,000.
Star Tickets trade for Z Power for certain LEGENDS LIMITED characters. The Recycle Center (Menu > Exchange Shop > Recycle Center) turns items you have too many of into Zeni and other items.
The Chrono Crystal Shop sells a random lineup of items for Chrono Crystals, in four categories:
| Category | What it sells |
|---|---|
| Supporter | Multi-Supporter Tickets, which trade for a copy of any supporter you already own, to level them up. You can hold up to 110. |
| Event | Supporter Summon Tickets for Event-exclusive supporters. You need to own that supporter first. |
| Special | Exchange tickets for Titles, and Arts Card Sleeves. |
| Other | Useful items at a discount, such as summon tickets. |
Each category’s lineup refreshes on its own every 8 hours, which also resets the purchase limits. You can refresh most categories early with an item. A lineup can include items you can’t buy yet, because of an unlock condition, a limit you’ve hit or a full inventory.
LEGENDS Pass
The LEGENDS Pass is a monthly subscription that renews on its own until you cancel it from MENU > Other > LEGENDS Pass Subscription Status. While it’s active you get:
- the Updates Daily! Prime Ticket Printing Robot
- 700 more Equipment Slots
- 5 more Preset Slots, for both regular parties and Co-Op parties
- a stronger, faster Auto Mode, though not in Events where you fight beside AI characters or in PvP Auto Match
- more items from the Login Bonus
- 2 more Adventure Slots
- a higher Card Collection Coin limit, and faster coin recovery
Each renewal also gives Loyalty Perks, which get better the longer you keep renewing.
Card Collection
Card Collection opens once you clear Main Story Part 1, Book 4, Chapter 9. It collects past Legends illustrations as cards.
You get one Card Collection Coin every 12 hours and can hold 2 (with the LEGENDS Pass, one every 8 hours and up to 3). Put a coin in the Card Machine on the Home screen for a card. Each card has a rarity (Normal, Rare or Super Rare), a type and a Power Level, and its Power Level adds to your Total Power Level. It doesn’t change how strong your characters are in battle. A copy of a card you already own raises that card’s Power Level, up to a cap.
A copy of a card that’s already maxed out turns into Card Collection Pack Exchange Tickets: 1 for Normal, 2 for Rare, 3 for Super Rare and 5 for an alternate Super Rare. Some Events give them too. Trade them in the Card Collection’s Exchange Shop for packs from the series you want. Use the Card Machine for the newest series and exchange for packs to fill gaps in older series. You can hold 4 copies of a card and 300 tickets.
Each series has its own cards, and you can’t see a card until you get it. Swipe a card to see its back, and pick one as your Favorite Card to show it on your profile.
Account and other screens
Add Friends to invite them to Friend Battles. You can have up to 40, counting requests.
The Gift Box holds gifts and items that didn’t fit in your inventory. If an item still won’t fit when you collect it, you get as much as fits and the rest stays in the box. The Receipt History lists the last 90 days.
Data Transfer moves your account to a new device. Link an external account from MENU > Other > Data Transfer Settings, or from Support on the title screen. Moving to a different operating system loses your Chrono Crystals for good. After a transfer you can’t transfer again for 24 hours, and saved preset parties and GodTube replay lists don’t come with you.
The game’s search box in the character, equipment and supporter lists finds partial names. Put @ in front for an exact match (@Saiyan finds the Saiyan Tag), join terms with & for AND (Goku&@RED), and with , for OR (Goku,Vegeta).
If the game runs slowly or drains your battery, lower the resolution in MENU > Other > Options > Resolution and restart the app.
Common questions
How do I earn Chrono Crystals?
Play the Story and clear the Story Missions, which give the most. Some Events also give lots of them, so clear those while they’re on. Every weekend, Weekend Job Requests on Adventures always bring some back.
How do I farm Souls?
During LEGENDS WEEKEND, from Saturday 06:00 to Tuesday 06:00 UTC, when extra Souls drop.
Where do Gold and Silver Bells come from?
Trade Raid Battle rewards, Platinum Coins or Rare Medals in the Exchange Shop for these training items. Check the current lineup.
How do I use Multi-Z Power?
Go to Menu > Item > Multi-Z Power.
How do I get Z Medals?
Z Power for a character who is already at ★7+ turns into Z Medals, and so does Awakening Z Power for a character at Awakening Rank VII. Z Power from certain Summons turns into Z2 Medals instead. You’ll start earning Z Medals once you have characters at those limits.
How do I raise a character’s Friendship Rank?
Clear the three daily “Let’s Fight!!” battles with them. Main Story Part 6, Book 1, Chapter 8 is another quick place to earn Friendship Points, and the Equipment “There’s no way that WE…could lose to someone like you!”, from the Z Medal Exchange, raises the Friendship Points you earn. A higher Friendship Rank raises the character’s stats in the Tournament of Power and unlocks Missions that give Chrono Crystals.
What is Customize?
Use Shallot’s Customize menu to choose a transformation, such as Super Saiyan, and equip a Special Move learned from another character. Transformations raise Shallot’s stats in battle.
How do I turn off PvP Messages?
Go to Menu > Other > Options and set PvP to OFF under PvP Message Notification Settings.
