Your First Party

Build three full parties of six in the Let's Go, Legends! event. Its Start Dash Missions give you the characters and teach you how to put a party together.

How the event works

Let’s Go, Legends! is a permanent event for new players. Clear BATTLE 1 through BATTLE 7, then take on three Challenge Battles. Each battle after the first asks for characters you get from the event’s own missions, so you build the party as you go.

  1. Clear BATTLE 1. You’ll earn a Start Dash Medal.
  2. Unlock a set of Start Dash Missions. Open Missions, go to the Special tab, pick a set such as “Start Dash Missions [Saiyan]” and tap Unlock. One medal unlocks one set.
  3. Clear the missions. Collect Z Power for the set’s characters and materials to level them up. 100 Z Power gets you the character.
  4. Level up your new characters in Training (see below), put them in your party, and take on the next battle.
  5. Repeat through BATTLE 7, then take on the Challenge Battles, one for each party.

You can reread the event’s rules any time from the “i” in the top-right corner of the event screen.

The three parties

Start with whichever set you like. Each one is a full party of six that shares a Tag, so their Z Abilities boost each other.

Saiyan

Lineage of Evil

Sagas From the Movies

Your first Start Dash Medal comes from BATTLE 1. For the other two sets, buy more Start Dash Medals in the Rare Medal Exchange Shop. Rare Medals come from the Main Story and Daily Missions.

Powering them up

Level up in Training

Characters gain EXP from battles, but the fast way is Training: pick a character and feed them Training Items. Training Items come from battles and missions. The level cap is 5000.

For a big daily boost, play the Let’s Fight! event (Menu > Event > Upgrade). It opens once you’ve cleared Main Story 1-2-6. Each of its battles can be played once a day and gives a lot of EXP, plus Friendship Points, Skip Tickets and Training Items. Only one character takes each battle, and it counts as cleared whoever wins, so use it on whoever needs the levels.

Limit Break with more Z Power

Each set has missions that give more Z Power for its characters. Reach a character’s next Z Power requirement to Limit Break them and gain a ★. Their Z Abilities also get stronger at certain star levels. You’ll complete some of these missions as you play other events and the Main Story, so check back for rewards.

A character can hold up to 9,999 Z Power. Anything past that turns into Z Medals, except Z Power for event-exclusive characters (card numbers starting DBL-EVT), which is never converted.

Add equipment

As your characters level up, they unlock up to three equipment slots. Ongoing events are the main source of equipment. Building a Team covers how equipment works.

Putting the party together

Z Abilities are what make a party strong. Plan around Z Abilities first, then consider rarity and Element, as the game recommends. A Z Ability boosts every party member it names (a Tag, an Element or an Episode) for the whole battle, just by being in the party. The character doesn’t even need to be one of the three who fight.

On the Party Formation screen:

  • Tap Filter and set the Character Tag to the party’s Tag (for example “Saiyan”). Only those characters are shown, which makes the six easy to find.
  • A character’s icon glows white when Z Abilities affect them.
  • The number at the bottom of each icon is how many Z and Zenkai Abilities are boosting that character. Aim to make those numbers as high as you can.

You can read any character’s Z Abilities on the Ability tab of their details screen.

Where to go next

Once you’ve finished a set’s missions and used its rewards to strengthen your party, try these:

  • Intermediate Missions give more “Tag: Saiyan” characters to fill out your Saiyan party.
  • The Main Story unlocks PvP, Co-Op and more events as you go. See Story, Energy and Daily Play.
  • Events you can play any time: Let’s Fight! for EXP, Long Ago…There Was a Small Encounter for event-exclusive SPARKING characters, the original series story events for Z Power, and a set of challenge events that pay Chrono Crystals for clearing them with specific characters. Free Characters lists more ways to get characters without summoning.
