Level
Feed your characters Turtles and Boiled Lobsters for a large amount of EXP. You get them from FP Recruits (the Friend Point recruit) and from the Hime Turtles Acquirement Quest.

Raise your character’s Special level by feeding them a character with the same Special or the matching Manual. Each day the Manual Acquirement Quest drops Manuals for one Type, so check which Type it is today.
The materials list has every Manual, searchable by name.
Stats
Cotton Candy adds to a character’s HP, ATK or RCV. Each one raises the stat in its name, and All Power Up raises all three.
Powers
Unlock a character’s Powers by feeding them a copy of the same character, or a Forbidden Tome. Forbidden Tomes come from the daily Requests from Chopper Man.
Support Effect
Unlock a character’s Support Effect with a character from the same evolution tree, or with Proof of Friendship, which comes from Pirate Alliance Kizuna Clash events.
Limit Break
Your character needs Master Points to Limit Break. Training Drinks (S, M and L) add Master Points, and they come from the daily Requests from Chopper Man. Characters also earn Master Points by clearing Treasure Map quests.
Each Limit Break step also needs materials: Guiding Stones for most steps, and rare Guiding Keys to extend a Limit Break further. Guiding Keys come from Treasure Map ranking rewards.
Potential Abilities
Limit Break can unlock Potential Abilities. Raise their level with a character from the same evolution tree, or with a Tablet. Tablets come from Treasure Map, its exchange, and Pirate Alliance Kizuna Clash.
Level Limit Break
Level Limit Break lets a character go past their normal level cap. Unlock it with a character from the same evolution tree, or with a Wanted Poster for its type and rarity. Wanted Posters come from events and Rayleigh’s Bazaar.

Some evolved characters can Super Evolve. You’ll need Crystal Skulls made for that character. The materials list shows which character each skull is for.
Rumble Stats
Rumble Scrolls give Rumble EXP, which you spend on a character’s Pirate Rumble stats. They come from Pirate Rumble, its shop, and the exchanges.
To see what a team's abilities and the current stage give each unit, put the team together in the Rumble Team Builder.
Co-Op Captain
A character becomes a Co-Op Captain at level 150, or with a Co-Op Tome. You need one to play Co-Op Quests (see the Beginner’s Guide).
