A shield-shaped object discovered inside a collapsed tunnel deep under the Mines. It senses oncoming attacks with the eye-like orb and adopts the most suitable configuration to deflect it. A thorough analysis has proved difficult, but the occasional bursts of magical energy from the central apparatus hint that it was originally the control unit of a much larger weapon.
