Blast Brigadier Buck

Working on the frontlines of urban defence is rough, and that goes double if you happen to be a Volper, an elite among the Rezcorps guardsmen of Paskua's most technologically advanced military organization. You have to possess a keen sense of danger, a thick skull for impact, and above all, an appetite for controlled destruction. Despite the harsh requirements, Buck seems to be enjoying his career, or else he wouldn't have stayed this long. A former instructor in the academy, Buck was well placed to dispense his grizzled advice to fresh-fraced, overeager cadets. Many who enter Rezcorps dream of joining the ranks of the prestigious Volpers, but only a few make the cut each year, and for good reason. It's not enough to simply be a good guardsmen; the Volpers put their lives on the line for the people they lead and serve. Having seen his fair share of trials and tribulations throughout the years, Buck's stories are etched into his skin, each scar and burn a memory of a mission completed or a civilian rescued. Then there were those he could not save, but such grim realities come with the job; Buck would rather laugh it off over a pint than brood himself into oblivion. Buck currently partners with Lleva, a rising young boltstriker within the Volpers whose stoic and serious demeanor complements his laid-back calmness. The pair had met before; Buck oversaw her training at one point, alongside a second promising cadet named Bonnie. Who knew that years later, both of his trainees would come to walk their own paths and be reunited over a certain diabolical genius?
